Maybe they should just put us on payroll
Closed Published January 31st, 2007 on West Seattle Blog...One day after the Tempest in a Pizza Box, the P-I’s got another story that appears ripped from the pages of West Seattle Blog (but with a few new details, such as, who’s trying to buy, and build on, that big front yard).
Adobe Making Enterprise Moves in Instant Messaging and VoIP?
Closed Published January 31st, 2007 on Digital Backcountry - Ryan Stewart's Flash Platform Blog I’m not entirely sure what to make of this. Apparently Adobe has acquired a little company called Antepo:
Adobe is pleased to announce that it has acquired Antepo, Inc. Antepo is a technology company that developed the Antepo Open Presence Network (OPN) System — an award-winning platform for Enterprise Instant Messaging and Presence capabilities — […]
This WPF Application for the British Library is Awesome
Closed Published January 31st, 2007 on Digital Backcountry - Ryan Stewart's Flash Platform BlogTim Sneath showcased a Windows Presentation Foundation app today over on his blog for the British Library. This thing is absolutely awesome and shows why 3D interfaces are not just frivolous eye candy. In this case, the books really seem to come alive. This is a classic case of history repeating itself, and it cracked me up. Lately I’ve been jotting things down in Google Calendar after-the-fact, as a way for me to historically mark days or events as having happened for future reference. Before this, I had been taking the traditional (or at least I think it’s traditional) approach of adding things to my calendar that were still forthcoming at the time. Tonight, I was thinking about how adding things to my calendar after-the-fact almost seemed like a really stripped-down version of blogging. Then I thought to myself…”calendar blogging”…”calendar + blogging”…”clogging!”
At that moment in time I thought, “I should really blog this” (in the traditional place, of course), but decided to do a quick check via Google just to be sure. The first link that popped up for a search for ‘calendar blogging’ was Calendar Blogging - Clogging, an article written by a German by the name of Matthew Langham back in 2002.
And here I was thinking I was being all ingenuitive and stuff.
I?ve been a big fan of Tara McPherson?s work for a long time now. She?s an amazing illustrator with a fun, quirky and visceral style that?s familiar but unlike anything else I can think of.
My New Motorola Q Is Great (But Vista is Killing Me)
Closed Published January 30th, 2007 on Digital Backcountry - Ryan Stewart's Flash Platform Blog Vista Launched today and I wrote a bunch of nice things about it on my ZDNet blog. I thought we were friends. Then I brought home my new cell phone, a Motorola Q and Vista and I had a falling out.
I love the phone. I’ve been hearing great things about the BlackJack, but I’m […]

Chopper-buzz update: The police tell all
Closed Published January 30th, 2007 on West Seattle Blog...Tonight, thanks to helpful Cindi from MorganJunction.org, we have actual police info about last week’s incident that kept some WSers awake thanks to chopper involvement.
